Joseph’s Coat Technique

Happy Day Stampers! I found a “new to me” fun technique I’m excited to share with you called Joseph’s Coat. The name comes from Joseph’s Coat of Many Colors. The idea is to have colorful images show through a dark background. I used some DSP from the new Butterfly Bijou – selected the one with White, Just Jade, and Misty Moonlight. Clear embossing powder over versamark stamped images from Butterfly Brilliance, then covered with Just Jade ink using the Blending Brushes. Wipe off excess ink from the embossed image and the idea is the colorful background shows through. In the samples I saw one had a black background and one was navy. I thought I’d try the Jade. Adding a couple vellum butterflies also added a soft touch to the card.

If you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours.
