Emboss Resist Technique

Happy Day, Stampers!  This is a fun technique!!  First stamp your image(s) in Versamark and then with your choice of embossing powder, you heat set it.  If you’re going to try this technique, I think an embossing powder like white (used here) or silver may look best.

The next step is to use a sponge brayer to apply the desired color(s).  I used Flirty Flamingo toward the top and Real Read at the bottom with the middle being a blend of both.  Of course, you can just go with one color if you don’t want the ombre look.


  • Card stock: Whisper White, Real Red
  • Ink: Versamark, Flirty Flamingo, Real Red
  • Stamp set: Heartfelt
  • White Embossing Powder
  • Ribbon: Double-Stitched Satin Ribbon
  • Embellishments: From My Heart Faceted Gems
