Glitter Queen’s Blog Hop – Shakin’ It Up!

My “shakin it up” was a fall theme.  August makes me think school, then fall. So I have some fall leaves shakin’ behind the tree cut outs on this card.  The “Just Breathe” sentiment spoke to me for fall as we get that crisp fall air in the Midwest.

To get the leaves varied colors, I used the baby wipe technique.  It’s easy to do – just put some ink drops on a baby wipe and stamp!  I used Crushed Curry and Cajun Craze to get the leaf colors on the shaker elements.  I hadn’t used this technique in a while and it was fun to incorporate it in this project!

Materials used:

• Cardstock: Crushed Curry, Terracotta Tile
• Dies: Nature’s Roots, Seasonal Layers
• Stamps: Colorful Seasons
• Versamark, copper embossing powder
• 1/4″ Copper Trim, Magnolia Lane ribbon pack
• Window sheets, foam adhesive strips
