Blog Hop – Dec 2018 Bags & Tags

Glitter QueensBlog HopHappy Day, Stampers!

Our Blog Hop Theme for December is “Bags & Tags”.  How Appropriate!!  Please click all the links in the hopper list to see all the wonderful creations. Bonus treat: I believe some of the blog hoppers are offering “Blog Candy” this month – check out everyone’s pages and enter a comment for a chance to win.

This bag is a fun fold of an 8 ½” x 11” cardstock paper, then decorated to your liking.  I went with the “All Is Bright” theme for my bag & tag – The “All Is Bright” DSP and other coordinating elements: Light Bulb Punch and Making Christmas Bright stamp set.  Pull in some Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper and there you have it!

The finished product is shown above.  Another fun aspect of this bag is that it folds flat for storage, but when folded up has a great amount of space for your gift.  Below are some additional photos and steps to create one of your own!

8 ½” x 11” Cardstock paper:  Score on all the lines shown below.

Once you get it scored and folded, it looks like this:

You will glue down the 4 sections of the 2” fold – just up to the diagonal line, inserting the ends of two approximate 8” lengths of ribbon (or other element for your handles).

I also cut two small Velcro circles in half to help close the bag.   You can see them in this next side view.

Remember, if you see someone without a smile, give them one of yours!

  1. This is such a fun blog hop. I love the bag and tag you made! The glimmer paper gives it such an extra WOW factor—especially with the scallop on the bag—and I love the gold ribbon on the projects! I also like your tag made on the diagonal instead of the normal square or rectangle.
